I had real trouble thinking of gifts this year and had been racking my brain to work out what i should have got people but i had the most trouble working out what to get my nan, she has everything she needs and technology is not here strong point so that ruled out 80% of the gifts i had already bought. But in a moment of greatness i thought of the greatest gift... A FOOD PARCEL yes that is right a box of food but not just any food...
the contents included:
- Home made sweet potato and leek soup
- Home made mushroom soup
- Teabags
- Sugar
- Self Raising flour
- Plain flour
- Cookies
- Chocolate
- Christmas Cake
- Pasta
- Herbs
- Cookbook
All this has got me thinking, do we need these large overpriced gifts and all this mass produced guff to have a great christmas.... no you dont all you need is a few small gifts, family and friends and to just enjoy yourself...
i had to laugh at my brother, he said "what do you want for christmas? you have about £50 to spend"
to which i replied "why that much?, just buy me a 30m ethernet cable and that will be fine" we then argued about christmas and gifts for about an hour but i dont see why somene would need to get load of presents and stuff just to be happy... i got my nephew a wii game (thats all i got him) because i know he will have lots of gifts at home so why add to them... you only need a meaningful and small gift to say merry christmas...
thanks for reading and merry christmas
