Happy Sunday everyone!
This week has been such a lovely one, lots of fun activities, a well behaved toddler (who turned 2 1/2 on Thursday) and Ben & I's 6 year anniversary! As Ben was working most of the week including our actual anniversary, we decided to take a family day out on Friday and headed out to a gorgeous Animal Park! It's such a hidden gem and we usually end up forgetting it's there until we drive past it, but we planned it at lunch then headed out straight away, of course with my camera in tow, as always. The sun was out and it was lovely and warm, t-shirt weather even! We've been here a few times before, the first time Abbie was teething badly and wasn't interested in anything apart from clinging to me and crying, the second time she wanted to sit in her pushchair and be pushed around for most of it, she still enjoyed it but this time was completely different, she's so much more grown up, as soon as we arrived she headed off to explore, walking everywhere, getting involved with all the animals, telling us what they all say, dancing, giggling and having a few tiny tantrums when it was time to move on to the next section, but she thoroughly enjoyed it and both Ben & I beamed just watching her playing, she's suddenly a proper little girl now! Her favorite animals were definitely the chickens (and a weird looking turkey), they kept trying to peck the little people toys out of her hands which made her giggle loads, they followed her across the path and she was very disappointed when she couldn't enter their little enclosure with the worker...cue tantrum number 1. This place literally has everything, animals including horses, pigs, emu's, chickens, parrots, ducks, geese, owls and donkeys, wendy houses, trampolines, slides and swings, miniature golf, ride along toys, a cafe, everything you need for a family day out! I can't wait to take Abbie back again, especially now Spring is here :). Once we got home, it was pretty much dinner time so we treated ourselves to an M&S dinner of pizza, garlic bread, salad, coleslaw and a yummy (and healthy) chocolate dessert! Perfect way to finish a perfect day! I took so many photos, so apologies for the spam! :) x
