The Neutral Business

Happy Monday Lovelies!  When in doubt wear black, and if black is too jarring, then wear neutrals.   In simple layman terms, neutral means without color. So if we go by this definition, then black, white, gray, beige, ivory are all neutrals. But in fashion terms, neutrals are colors that go with anything and everything and are essential for building any wardrobe. So colors like white, grey, blue, khaki and black included, are the five fashion neutrals, that can be mixed and matched with any other color seamlessly.  So if I were to breakdown my outfit today, I have a khaki jacket, check, a white blouse, check, a pair of blue denim, check and some khaki (tan) heels, check. An outfit predominantly neutral, with a dash  of color through the tropical print clutch and the red lips. I have to admit a simple outfit like this one can actually make head turns (in a good way ) and get you genuine compliments from passers-by.....wink wink ! jacket- Banana Republic ( similar ) blouse- J Crew ( similar ) jeans- GAP ( similar ) sandals- Dolce Vita ( similar ) bag- Express ( similar)
