The Neon Lights of Broadway

By Edithlevy

I spent a few days in New York a couple of weeks ago and it really doesn’t matter how often I’m there it’s probably one of my most favorite cities to photograph.

Truthfully I’ve been there so many times that I usually tend to stay away from Times Square unless I’m going to the theater. Please don’t get me wrong, if you haven’t been there you must experience it but it’s always so jam-packed with people, that I tend avoid it.

Of course there are always exceptions. :) This particular evening I was determined to do some long exposures. Long exposures in Times Square at night are actually quite tricky to do as the neon lights are extremely bright. After many frames and multiple settings I did manage to come away with some shots I was pleased with.
