The Narrative of Today: Dreams

By Actuallystrange @ActuallyStrange

A new month in blogging; a new outlook. My goals for the next four weeks are to 1) give my posts a more narrative feel and 2) write at least two posts a day, one about my life and a minimum of one about something else. I’ll be uploading that post later.

For now, here is part one of the narrative of my life today:

I dreamt last night that my family was having a gathering. I was late arriving as a mother of a bunch of delinquent children had been trying to have me arrested for something her children did.

Her children had, apparently, committed a big time crime. Their table was right across from mine at a restaurant. Two policemen stopped at the table and the children pulled envelopes of money out of their sleeves.

Their mother, who I had never met before, tried to tell the policemen that had I something to do with it. I obviously didn’t; I didn’t even know them. I was just trying to get back to my family.

I did finally get back to my family, albeit late. My mum and I decided to go swimming but my mum changed her mind.

With the intention of going on a slide once and then coming back, I went out onto the floating dock in the middle of the lake. Unfortunately, I went on the wrong slide and ended up in the middle of the lake. I pretended to be drowning so that someone would rescue me and I managed to get back to the shore.

I’m not sure what the dreams mean, but I’m open to interpretations. Anyone?

Check back in later for the rest of my day; plus, how does one become more educated without paying for more university courses? I’ll be detailing this in today’s “something other than me” post.

Enjoy your morning (or evening, if you’re in Europe)!
