The Most Beautiful Spots in the Alps

When it comes to breathtaking adventure and the blissful serenity of nature, no place in the world beats the most beautiful spots in the Alps:

St. Anton, Austria

St. Anton ski resort is a traditional Austrian resort known for its chocolate box charm, considered to be the birthplace of Alpine skiing. With up to two months of sunny days during the winter months and high enough snowfall for skiing all the way through to April, St Anton is a excellent choice for a ski holiday.

Skiers can experience the 40km of cross-country skiing trails or the seemingly endless selection of downhill ski runs. Tramways and chairlifts take you from the town level of 1300 meters to the pistes as high as 2800 meters. There is also a new gondola, the first of its kind in the world, with a ferris wheel design that enables passengers to board at ground level and then loop the car up to the main cable line.

There’s plenty of other outdoor wintry fun to be had too, with toboggan runs, ice skating, curling, snowshoeing and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Or, if you need to warm up indoors, the new indoor sports center invites you to participate in activities such as the massive climbing wall with more than 100 routes. In the summer months St Anton is ideal for trekkers and mountaineers.

St Anton offers crisp mountain air surrounded by the postcard perfect charm of one of the world’s most premiere ski destinations.

Alpendorf, Austria

Just outside of St. Johann in Pongau, Austria is the small resort village of Alpendorf. The area features four and five star hotels with wellness centers and restaurants.

An ideal area for families, the hotels have facilities specifically tailored to the needs of families, and during the summer it is great destination for a family trip. The area is transformed during the summer months when a large adventure playground fills the central part of the village, with everything from trampolines to go-karts and climbing frames. Stop by the little petting zoo before taking the gondola up to the top where a large free adventure playground world of Geisterberg crests the mountaintop. The entire peak is covered in a trail of ghost-themed play equipment ideal for grownups and kids alike. With incredible vistas and scenic trails, Geisterberg is not to be missed.

Saas Fee, Switzerland

Saas Fee is known as the “Pearl of the Alps”, and it most definitely is. The village exudes romance and charm, right down to its meandering cobblestone lanes and traditional chalets.

The village is free from traffic – all visitors park outside and take public transit in. Some of the highest mountains in the Alps surround the village, making for an incredible view of 13 peaks. The area features year-long skiing over more than 80 kilometers of downhill trails, countless hiking paths, and permanent snowcaps.

The Alps are the place to be for astonishing natural beauty and endless adventure throughout the year.
