The Lowdown – The Hunting Party

Posted on the 02 February 2020 by Booksocial

Welcome to February at Book Social. Following the success of last month’s book of the month this month we have chosen The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley. Will it be as good?

From historical fiction to murder in the wilderness

Lucy Foley studied at Durham University before working as a fiction editor in the publishing industry. Her debut novel, The Book of Lost and Found became a bestseller but it wasn’t until The Hunting Party, first published in 2019, that Lucy dipped her toes in to the world of the thriller genre. Her new novel, The Guest List also a thriller, is published this month and Book Social will be reviewing it alongside The Hunting Party so keep your eyes peeled!

The Hunting Party – the blurb

In a remote hunting lodge, deep in the Scottish wilderness, old friends gather for New Year.

The beautiful one
The golden couple
The volatile one
The new parents
The quiet one
The city boy
The outsider

The victim.

Not an accident – a murder among friends.
