LG teamed up with Google and created a VR headset for its flagship smartphone, the LG G3. As we find out, this new VR headset will directly challenge the Samsung Gear VR headset and other headsets similar to it.
The LG G3 virtual reality headset looks a lot like Google’s cardboard VR headset, if you remember it, and you can slide your LG G3 into it to enter the world of virtual reality. The headset is made of plastic, and it comes with neodymium ring magnet that pairs with your LG G3’s internal gyroscope. This way, you don’t have to touch the display in order to control the phone. There is no information on pricing or availability (only in select markets, according to LG), but we will keep you updated as we learn more.
The LG G3 offers a QHD display, a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage.
