The Isabel Marant Boston Sneakers

The Isabel Marant Boston sneakers

Isabel Marant Boston sneakers (still available here but probably not for long)

The inevitable happened. The oh-so-famous hidden-heel wedged Isabel Marant sneakers which I once despised got the best of me and I just received my first pair. But not just any pair, I chose the Boston sneakers, the slightly more low-key style from the Isabel Marant sneakers family*. Getting the latest snake-effect version somehow makes me believe that I don't own the exact same pair of shoes as everyone else (ok, I'm dreaming here). And let me tell you something. I adore these shoes. The sports vibe of these make me feel cool and young (well, I mean, cooler and younger because I'm obviously still cool and young). Plus they are comfortable and add a few extra inches which is never so bad when you're not on the tall side like moi.
If like me you are weak and finally are ready to give in into hidden-heel sneakers there are still some online shops where you can find them: Net-a-Porter, My Theresa (white Betty, very few sizes), La Garçonne. If you're not willing to pay the full price there are plenty of cool alternatives. To be honest, I was planning on ordering the Topshop ones just before I went crazy about the Boston (aargh, damn you NAP !).

From top left: black suede sneakers (ash), multi-colored sneakers (ash), silver and white sneakers
(river island), cream sneakers (topshop), black sneakers (topshop), brown sneakers (river island)
And now tell me truth, was I crazy to fall for this stupid trend ????
xx Marta
*: to the non-Isabel Marant obsessed (take this information with cauton, I'm not an expert either): there are two different styles of Isabel Marant sneakers; the austronaut-like Bekett/Willow named ones, which I'm still glad not to like, and the Betty/Bobby, the Boston are the snake-effect version of the latter.

Just wondering if the bottom of your sneakers hav a star? I sourced a pair from someone on eBay. They are a reputable seller. But when I called Net-a-Porter they said they don't put tags on the shoe nor are they made in China. The bottom where the size is has a star, does yours?
