For those of you who follow me on Twitter and Instagram, I'm sorry about harping on about my dissertation so much over the past few weeks. But I'm very happy to say that it is now finished and handed in, so it feels like a massive weight has been lifted off of my shoulders now! As soon as it was handed over and out of my life for good, I headed down to Buchanan Street to do some shopping as a celebration. I spent a fair amount of time wandering around Forever 21 and H&M but nothing really caught my eye, so my next stop was Boots where I took advantage of the 3 for 2 deal that's still going on.
I dashed straight to the Revlon stand to swatch all of the new lip butters to my heart's content, and it was obvious that Juicy Papaya was the one for me. It's such a gorgeous peachy coral shade and one that will be absolutely perfect for the spring and summer time! After a lot more uhming and ahhing at the makeup stands, I remembered that I was in need of new mascara and had to repurchase my absolute favourite, the Natural Collection LashBuild mascara. This mascara is an absolute steal at only £1.99 and it really is a godsend for adding length and volume to my short lashes. While I was having a look at the Natural Collection stand, I had a quick swatch of some of their lipsticks and instantly fell for the shade Rose Petal. This shade is more on the nude side of a peachy/pink lipstick, but still so pretty and one that will be great for very natural looking makeup days.
My next stop was Superdrug as I was curious to see the new MUA nail polish bottles which are cheekily very similar to the bottles of Essie polishes, but half the size and a massive fraction of the price (just £1). I ended up going for Pistachio Ice Cream which is such a pretty pastel green color and unlike anything else that I already own. My final purchase came from Watt Brothers, a Scottish department store that offers great discounts on just about anything. Their discounted perfume and makeup drew me into the shop and I soon noticed that they were selling Essie polishes for £2.99. Funnily enough the selection pretty much matched that of Fragrance Direct, so of course I had to pick one up instead of paying for delivery on FD. Neo Whimsical is a nail polish that I've included in a wishlist before, and I just couldn't say no to the pretty muted pink shade when I saw it on the shelf. If you'd like to see reviews or swatches of any of these products then please let me know!
