Ever wondered what goes on backstage just before a Zayan the Label show?
Well, wonder no more!
6:30: Rehearsal time! - The models gathered and got ready for Tina’s instructions.
But wait - first we needed to get the stairs installed (’cause we needed them for the rehearsal) which means we also needed to get the logo in place!
All set and ready to rehearse…
Zayan Ghandour’s 5th collection features some beautiful prints and embroidered fabrics! So she wanted the first outing to really highlight them by creating simple shift dresses from each, which were revealed one by one as the models took off their identical white robes (with chiffon bows no less!)
The rest of the show was quick and light, with models walking fast to the beat and really ENJOYING the show!
7:30 – Rehearsal over and grass set up time! Zayan wanted to create a fun world for her collection to inhabit! So we got, you know, some grass… (real grass!) complete with bugs and all.
In fairness we hadn’t thought of the bugs ’till we started seeing them crawling up the stairs!
Um. Slight panic.
FROWers are ok with bugs, right?

Then it was time for the roses and hydrangeas!
(Which had all been hidden in the tiniest little room backstage together with the collection!)
The entire team gets on it asap!

Final checks and finishing touches here and there…
