Yay! I’ve been waiting to see this piece of film about The Future of Vintage bridal photo shoot I featured last week on English Wedding. Into my inbox it popped yesterday and it’s brilliant! (Literally! – those colours… that sunshine…)

Tom Harrington – previous star of his own engagement shoot on English Wedding – is the director of Silk Wedding Videos in Manchester, and was a big part of The Future of Vintage shoot at Styal Lodge.

“The future of vintage shoot was great fun to be involved in and an excellent opportunity to get some of the very best names in the wedding industry together to do what they do best!

“Jonny Draper is an incredible photographer and a good friend of mine. When he mentioned the concept of the shoot at Styal Lodge I thought it was brilliant. Vintage is very much the thing that a lot of people are looking for on their weddings. So to see how this was going to be taken forward really interested me.

“I was confident that it would be a relaxed atmosphere on the day as everyone involved already knew each other. I therefore felt it was important to highlight this and show the fun we had making the shoot work.

“I did not want to just shoot a standard behind the scenes film, I wanted to capture some of the incredible images that were being set up, so I really hope the balance of the details, atmosphere and artist imagery was achieved. [for the record, your blog Editor here is nodding happily! C x]

“We could not have been luckier with the weather and the venue looked stunning. The day absolutely flew by as we were all having lots of fun creating something new and exciting.

“The fantastic girls from The White Closet were there to fit our beautiful models, and even the dress designer herself, Charlotte Balbier, turned up to get in on the act!

:)

Emma Draper MUA created some striking and imaginative looks to compliment the theme, and the cakes, details and props were provided by ‘and the dish ran away with the spoon’ as well as Pink Pepper. A huge thank you to the brilliant people at Styal Lodge.”
