Looking at these inspiring Fall 2012 runway looks from The Row on Harpers Bazaar reminded me how effective a simple flat sandal can be. Even though these looks are from the fall collection, if there is something you absolutely need for Summer is the perfect flat sandal. I mean a pair of flat sandals which are comfortable, neutral in your wardrobe and preferably not too trendy (no neons please!). If you find the perfect one I am sure you will be able to wear it on any occasion and most probably for some years.
I have made a selection of simple flat sandals to follow The Row's minimalist look but I also picked some embellished sandals that recently caught my eye.

As for me, I have a pair of Zara sandals from last year which look exactly like the Isabel Marant Merry sandals but I wouldn't say no to a pair of K Jacques or the Balenciaga studded ones...
