The Voice-Season Finale
I need to set the stage as to how I watched The Voice last night.  I had the NBA Finals on my big TV (Damn Spurs) and I had The Voice on my Ipad. So I only really paid attention to The Voice, when I noticed something juicy was happening. I did watch Pitbull and Xtina with her new skinnier body perform "I Just Wanna Feel This Moment" which was great, but did you notice that Xtina still can't really move around at all. She must be really boring to see live if she doesn't even move around the stage. Maybe bag the mile high pumps and dance around a bit? That would also help with the weight no? I loved all of the packaged clip vignettes especially, the Adam/Blake bromance one. The Shakira Vocabulary Spelling Quiz was also very cute. Great performances by Bruno Mars & Hunter Hayes  but for me, the the highlight of the night was Bob Seger and the Swon Bros singing "Night Moves". Seger's still got it.  I was looking forward to seeing Cher perform and for a 67 year old woman, she did a decent job. Her wig choice was odd and disturbing, but I refuse to say anything negative about Cher. I love her regardless of her wig. After 1 hour and 57 minutes we finally found out that Danielle Bradberry was the winner and not my Swon's. Let's see if they can launch a career for her since they really haven't been able to do it for any of the other Voice winners to date. So net/net, I would say it was a good season with Shakira and Usher, just toooooooo lonnnnnnnngggggg!  I hope the producers learn from their mistakes next season.

NEWS & INFORMATION:

-Hey guys...with not much on these days, and Big Brother not starting til next week, you may want to check out the preview of Showtime's new show Ray Donovan.  It's official launch date is 6/30 but you can watch it online right now.  I checked it out last night.  To be honest, I can't decide if I liked it or not. It's not at all what I thought it was going to be. Liev Schreiber plays Ray, a Hollywood fixer kind of guy from what I can tell, but the show isn't very Hollywood at all.  I couldn't figure out if the show was about Ray's screwed up family or his  cases and I didn't care THAT much about either. Ray's not really a good guy, his wife's pissed off at him, his business partners seem to be on the wrong side of good, his father's just out of prison and definitely NOT a good guy, both of his brothers are messed up. I'm not sure there's anyone I care about at all here. I haven't given it a Season Pass, but I haven't given up on it yet. One more episode...that's what I'll give it. -A&E, History and Lifetime now all have Android Apps thank you very much A&E. This TV Everywhere thing is really working out nicely for a person like me.  Pretty soon everything will be accessible everywhere. Hard for advertisers...definitely, but great for content junkies like me.
-As you guys know, Amazon has also entered into the content biz and will premiere programming this Fall. Alphas, my favorite of their greenlit properties, should be first to launch in November and what's interesting (to me at least) is that Amazon is most likely NOT going to release all of the episodes at one time like Netflix did with House of Cards and Arrested Development. They haven't said exactly what they are going to do, but they did say they weren't going to mimic the Netflix model. I guess we'll have to wait and see then.
-Charlie Sheen's at it again.  Apparently after Selma Blair complained about Charlie's work ethic (or lack of one I guess) he had her fired and refused to work if she was on the set. Apparently, Charlie is trying to get Mila Kunis to take her place for at least 10 episodes. (Interesting since Ashton Kutscher replaced him on his previous show...see the connection?)  What is it about Charlie Sheen? America loves him and knows he's completely insane and Hollywood just keeps hiring him and handing him tons of dough.  I don't get it, do you?
WWTM NEWS POLL RESULTS:
So...54 answers came in...pretty decent actually.
WWTM readers use a lot of different news sources but only 2 people actually read and ACTUAL newspaper...so here is the online results:
CNN-15%
ABC Local-9%
NYTimes-9%
Yahoo-9%
Fox News-7%
MSNBC-7%
NBC-7%
NPR-5%
ABC News-5%
The New York Post-3%
The Daily Show-3%
The rest were: CBS Local, Google, WCBS, Wall Street Journal, Twitter, Huffington Post, In Touch, US Weekly & The Drudge Report
-I've watched the WIGS network on YouTube, mainly one show called Blue. FOX owns this content or has some sort of investment in it. Blue is pretty decent and now you'll be able to watch/find it on Hulu and Hulu Plus.  What I've read is that Blue has had 20 million views...is that true? I gotta look into that.  The episodes are short, 6-8 minutes and the story is pretty good, but it's not must see content in my opinion. If you have nothing to do...check it out.
