THE FIELD #2 Review

Check out the review on The Field #1 to gain a little insight if needed.

Wow! Holy crap! Oh, damn! These are just a few things that were running through my mind as I was reading The Field #2.  Like Crush said in Finding Nemo, “At first I was like ‘woah’ and then I was like ‘WOAH’”.  Very intense read to say the least.

This book got me a bit more sucked into it.  The first couple pages were a bit weird looking.  The art style was different and I was a bit unsure what was going on since it wasn’t where the last book left off.  It turns out it was a foreshadow from our mystery man.  We then got back to present time when we get to see Christian go all crazy on a couple of bikers from the Smoke Eaters gang.  The two of them ride off and we see a similar event get repeated.  At this point we know that this man with the cell phone is special.  Why is Christian protecting him? Another anonymous text messages lands us a rendezvous with an old man that provides us some good information to help us along with the story.  Doesn’t end up too well on his end.  But who are these Star Trek rejects at the end? We will have to wait to find out.

Now looking back at my reactions to this book, I have a feeling a lot of you will have the same response.  I thought the first book was ‘In your face’ but this one just tops it off.  Christian is a crazed man on a mission and he won’t be stopped.  We gets tons of blood in this issue and it is not for the weak stomached.  Now that the plot is unfolding, this series can go almost anywhere.  Whatever happened to make everyone go after Mr. Amnesia, I am waiting to find out.
