“It is true that in France, women put on less things. If they have a necklace, they don’t put on earrings; if they have nail polish, they don’t put on all their rings and all their bracelets” – Ines de La Fressange.

And I’m exactly like that. I don’t like to wear too many things. Too many accessories. Too many colors. Too much makeup. One thing I can hardly resist, though. The perfect and charming allure nail polish gives our hands.

I’ve tried lots of color and brands. Without reading reviews, looking no tutorial and without listening to what best trends propose.

I have a clear and complete idea in my mind about nail polish that, if I were a serious person, I would  throw half of my little bottles away, to keep only basics.

1. The White milk Chanel - opaque and suitable for almost every outfit.

2. The Chanel Intense black - when you don’t want to bright too much and think that the back to black is always the right escape.

3. A Nude color - it’s soft, but it’s there and you have to see it; it becomes one thing with your fingers stretching and thinning them.

All of my favorites were chanel and I’ve always thought it was the best choice - despite I’ve tried the super cheap kiko, essences, opi etc etc.

This was the story until a few days ago, while I was looking for the perfect red nuance by chanel, at Sephora. Too bright, too dark, too lady like.

And so I, unconsciously (?), facing the stand Dior, I thought why not?!?

There was, fiercely, the perfect red. And not only because of the nuance. It’s called Pandore 754. The finish is effect gel. The brush is large and round. And my old love has gone immediately.

And so the list has added two among the best nuances I’ve ever met.

- Perfect red Pandore #754
- Coral red Aventure #551

When I’ve arrived home I discovered that the Dior’s one is a glaze of new generation.

Honestly I don’t care a lot about what they write, but I think that after trying the ease of this nail polish and its durability I’ll never go back.

The good news is that there is also the top coat to turn all your oldes glazes into the most modern ones.

I want to clarify that - alas - Dior did not pay me to write this article
