I love devices. Being a tech enthusiast, I just love using different types of devices which make my day to day life better. These devices act as my secretary, bodyguard, friends and family. I just can’t live without them.
I am an avid reader. But the catch is that I only like to read on my tablet. I had got my first tablet in 2012. It was a funbook P300 by Micromax. I know, it might not sound like much, but it was a huge gift for me from my parents.
That was the first time I had been introduced to the ‘smart’ world. At first, being the child I was, I got games and began playing. At that time I felt that this tab would be my gaming solace. Then when I began to feel the lag in the device, I rooted it and it was then I had taken a dive in the modding world. I got new roms, hacked games and other things like that.
Funbook, had become an integral part of my life. One fine summer, when I and my family had gone to Shimla, funbook fell. The screen got a huge crack and the tab went dead. I was sad the whole day. I kept thinking of how I will live without it. When we reached back to our hotel, I tried to switch it on, but alas, the power button had broken. I ripped it open and switched it on by pressing the reset button (Which was a reboot button after I had modded it)
It came on but now it had so much lag that I could only read eBooks on it. That’s where I got the love of eBooks. Within four months, the battery had become extremely weak that it couldn’t survive for more than 2 hours. Funbook had lived till the end.
In 2013, I got a nexus 7 on my birthday. It was the 2012 model. I was ecstatic when I received it. It was snappy, a drastic and pleasurable change from Funbook. But, now when we are living in 2014, it has become extremely slow. Even reading eBooks has become a cumbersome job on it.
My resolution with every device is that they make my life simple and easier. They should be seamless to answer all my needs. Only 5 days back I had been looking for a new device. Couldn’t find one which could complete my device resolution under my budget.
Today I stumbled upon Micromax Canvas P666. The features stumped me. It will be the perfect new year’s gift I can imagine. Okay, maybe not new year, but birthday definitely. The look is sleek, it looks better than an IPAD! Oh, this tab can be the ultimate solace for me. It will work snappy with the intel processor inside it. Oh, this tab is like a dream come true.
