By Joyweesemoll @joyweesemoll

The #BriFri Sewer EditionWelcome to British Isles Friday! British Isles Friday is a weekly event for sharing all things British and Irish - reviews, photos, opinions, trip reports, guides, links, resources, personal stories, interviews, and research posts. Join us each Friday to link your British and Irish themed content and to see what others have to share. The link list is at the bottom of this post. Pour a cup of tea or lift a pint and join our link party!

Our sewer lift pump died this week. It turns out that a house without drains doesn't really function as a house. We're slowly getting the problem taken care of, but I don't have enough time at my computer to write a post. I had a film review that I wanted to write this week. Oh well, it will work well next week, too.

In keeping with the topic, I'll refer you to my review of London Under by Peter Ackroyd, all about the things under London including sewers, water, and the Tube. Or, if you prefer fiction, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman where fantastic creatures inhabit the sewer system under London.
