Leonard: What?
Sheldon: Last night I was strong armed into an evening of harp music and spooning with an emotional Amy Farrah Fowler, this on a night that I had originally designated for solving the space time geometry in higher spin gravity and building my Lego Death Star... and why? Your gal pals Penny and Bernadette went out shopping for some wedding nonsense without Amy, an action they took with no thought or regard as to how it would effect me, the future of string theory, or my Lego fun time!
Howard: What do you want us to do about it?
Sheldon: You clearly weren't listening to my topic sentence, "get your women in line!" You make them apologize to Amy and set things right! I am a man of science, not someone's snuggle bunny!
Leonard: Why do I have to talk to Penny? She'd not my girlfiend.
Sheldon: You invited her to lunch four years ago. Everything about her is on you. You make it so!
The Sheldon: Did you know that when Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, he proposed answering it with "ahoy"?
Review: I was kind of skeptical at the thought of an episode centered on the girls, but it actually was a good one. Amy's distress at finding out she's not exactly fun material and Penny and Bernadette want to hang out without her from time to time led to a couple of extremely hilarious moments, especially when it came to Sheldon's reactions to her emotional state.
But the star of the episode was, without a doubt, Sheldon, who finds himself becoming Amy's "snuggle bunny" and being called "cuddles" by his emotionally distressed friend. His reactions to Amy's physical intimacy desires is priceless, and the proposal-counterproposal scene, which culminated into an obviously uncomfortable Sheldon awkwardly hugging his friend, was one of the best Shamy moments ever.
I loved his outburst and demand that his friends get their women in line so that he can enjoy his Lego fun time, especially since he made yet another reference to Leonard's culpability in everything related to Penny, because he invited her to lunch "four years ago". I was wondering if that would come up again.
I was glad to see that, despite the episode being focused on the girls and on Sheldon's reactions, Leonard and Raj got their - few nonetheless - moments to shine. I'm always amused by Raj's knowledge when it comes to fashion and other girly stuff. Personally, I have no idea what a "sweetheart neckline" is, and I'm a girl.
Other highlights: Leonard using Sheldon's door knocking ritual on Amy. The Lego Death Star. Sheldon's distress at not being able to get in touch with his friend, who knew he could actually be preoccupied by anyone else but himself? Finding out that Leonard and Priya are not together anymore.
