I was scanning through The Hollywood Reporter over the weekend and came upon these adorable doggies from The Best Friends Animal Society all looking for homes. If I could I would adopt each and every one of them in a heartbeat! They look so adorable and cuddly! Not that you should get or adopt a dog only because they look adorable. Adopting a dog or any animal is a big decision as it will be a commitment that you should view as a long term responsibility. Of course there can be unforeseen circumstance which can lead to dogs ending up in shelters. But the reason for an animal to be taken to a shelter should never be that you did not ‘think through what you were getting into’ or ‘it just grew too much’. My chihuahua grew to be three times as big as a ‘normal-sized’ chihuahua. I did not expect it, but I would not even dream of taking him to an animal shelter because he is a giant chihuahua and does not fit into my pocket.
Sorry for getting all serious and preachy about animal adoption – it just is a topic I feel very strongly about. Let’s lighten up the mood and check out these cuter than cute fur-balls of happiness waiting to find a loving and secure home. All so adorable!!
