The 70th Annual Golden Globes Awards held on Sunday January 13, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton paid homage to film and televisions biggest stars. Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler the “Saturday Night Live” alums and longtime friends, they made perfect comedy partners – Fey, a little more wary and neurotic; Poehler, a little more wide-eyed and goofy; both being brilliant and fearless.

The evening’s first impressions are always made on the red carpet, long before the winners are announced.
Anne Hathaway yet again stole the show and was among the best dressed. She wore a Channel column gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld. This snow white gown which flared out delicately at the waist was encrusted in glittering crystals from the SS09 Haute Couture collection. She kept her jewelry simple with modest bracelets. Her look was completed with Aldo shoes and a Roger Vivier bag. She won the award for the best actress in a supporting role for her portrayal of Fantine, an ill-fated factory worker forced into a life of prostitution, in Les Misérables.
Jessica Alba stood out in a coral Oscar de la Renta silk fallie trumpet gown from the pre fall 2013 collection. Alba completed her look with a stunning $5.8 million Harry Winston diamond necklace along with diamond earrings and a cocktail ring all set in platinum.
Jodie Foster who took home the 2013 Life Time Achievement Award moved the crowd to tears with her brilliant acceptance speech, wore a sequin Giorgio Armani navy gown which she paired with vintage diamond earrings by Martin Katz.
Marion Cotillard donned a fluid orange velvet dress yet again from the French house Christian Dior. She completed her look with Dior shoes and Chopard Jewelry.
Jennifer Lopez wore a semi- sheer intricate white gown by Zuhair Murad. The gown was a long sleeve silk gown with an ivory embroided lace overlay with beading detail. She coupled this look with Christian Louboutin shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag and Le Van jewels.
Kate Winslet favored for a pair of Chopard‘s 22-carat pear shaped diamond drop earrings and a 39- carat three-row bracelet. Kathleen Robertson was spotted admiring Abellan brand’s 65-carat white diamond, emerald, rubellite, south-sea pearl and pink opal necklace. Actress Molly Tarlov from MTV’s “Awkward” sported a bracelet from Abellan New York which featured 50 carats of citrine, pink sapphire, ruby & diamonds. Drew Berrymore chose a 50-carat Asscher–cut diamond ring.
The Golden Globes awards ceremony takes place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, its home since 1961. The awards are bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of mostly freelance journalists that was founded during World War II.
