- ice cream and dancing
- buttons everywhere!
- graffiti and sunshine
- a campervan, lots of love and kisses
- the best, most creative, fun wedding – part two
Courtesy of the fabulous Lucy West Images and with help again from Rachel and David – the most exciting bride and groom you’ll see and fall in love with (these two are stars, they really are!) here’s part two of what I can only describe as the best day of their lives.
Missed the rest? Catch up on the mad, creative, painty engagement shoot we shared in April and read yesterday’s wedding report to see a really exciting church wedding service.
Ready? Enjoy!
“We had interactive games during the signing of the register, left the church to Blink 182, and had an ice cream van to greet the guests as they exited the service. We couldn’t have hoped for a better day, we had so much fun, and the day was filled with laughter… even the weather behaved itself! “The reception was fab! Newspaper bunting and chinese lanterns decorated the church hall; we had a comedy duo MCing the speeches, a carvery lunch, and sock monster centre pieces!Wedding day advice from Rachel
“Have things to keep people occupied, there is nothing worse than being a bored guest at a wedding, but don’t compromise anything you want just to make other people happy… it is your day after all!
Sweet and innocent little sock monster table centrepieces… A fabulously colourful wedding cake and creative signage to go with it! Love the bright buttons everywhere… Rachel and David made out of lego… brilliant (lego should definitely make custom figures for wedding cake toppers!) For the evening entertainment we had a live band which was the perfect way to end the day! Our first song was Song 2 by Blur and we left the reception in our white VW camper van (chasethesun.co.uk) The sock monsters eventually had one too many – it’s far too naughty to share on the blog, but if you fancy a giggle we caught them at it and broadcast their shocking behaviour on the English Wedding facebook page (warning – naughty. Possibly not even suitable for work.) The first dance pictures are brilliant: Rachel and David are having so much fun – and the photographs look amazing. I love this! Thank you so much Rachel and David for sharing. I feel really privileged to have your wedding day on my blog – it’s really a treat. Congratulations and I wish you both many years of happiness together.Lucy – thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding photography. You’ve made my email inbox a delightfully happy place!
