Guess no couple from ‘The Bachelor’ and its franchise have ever made the relationship work. Soon after the news of Emily Maynard and Jef Holm split, Courtney was witnessed returning her huge sparkler to celebrity jeweler Neil Lane’ L.A. jewelry boutique on October 14.
‘The Bachelor’ Season 16 famed couple, Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson have broken up after being engaged for less than a year.
Courtney Robertson, the ex-fiancée to Bachelor Ben Flajnik, was spotted Sunday returning her 3-carat dazzling diamond engagement ring worth $80,000 to celeb jewelers Neil Lane.
As per the contract, no contestants of the Bachelor/Bachelorette series get to keep the engagement ring unless they actually go through the nuptial process. They are required to return their engagement ring if the relationship is called off.
After nearly eight months of dating, the Bachelor Season 16 couple officially called it quits on Oct. 5 citing the distance between them as one of the many factors. Courtney is based in L.A. while Ben resides in San Francisco.
“After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship. The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers,” the couple said in a statement released to In Touch magazine.
The further added, “We have nothing but the utmost respect for each other, and both feel this is the right decision. We continue to remain friends and will support each other in future endeavours. Thanks to everyone for your love and support, it’s been quite a ride.”
During the show, before the finale was aired, Courtney, 30, was spotted trying on wedding gowns.
The longevity of this couple’s courtship was always doubted as Ben, 30, was found cheating on Courtney months ago, while the model-turned-reality star has been [in] famous for associating with known personalities for fame.
Though a bit sad over ditching the engagement ring, guess the model has already moved on as she was spotted having an intimate dinner [by intimate we indeed mean intimate] just a week after her split with the runner-up of the latest Bachelorette season, Arie Luyendyk Jr. on Thursday night in Phoenix, Ariz.
Arie was rejected by Emily Maynard over Jef Holm with whom she reportedly split recently.
