The Avenue Des Champs-Élysées

By Joyweesemoll @joyweesemoll

On our first full day in Paris on our own after our tour ended, I had a plan, but we ditched it and decided to just walk. We walked the Champs-Élysées from the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe where we climbed to the top. A small detour along the Rue St-Honoré allowed us a glimpse of the gate to the Presidential Palace and gave us a chance to visit the original Hermès store to see the hints of its start as a harness and bridle workshop, not to mention the glorious scarves.

This is the day when we said most often, “We’re in Paris!”
