What happened today warmed my heart.As I was speaking over the phone, Little Miss Not A Princess Bébé decided to go knocking on the bedroom door looking for daddy, who was taking a nap. So I helped her open the door and resumed talking over the phone.
After ending the call (10 minutes later), I found her lying quietly next to daddy whilst reading her favorite book. I went on with my chores of mopping the floor. And for the next 30 minutes or so, not a sound was to be heard from the bedroom.
When I went in, not only was she sitting and reading in the same spot, she also never once disturbed her sleeping beauty of a daddy.
When she saw me, she smiled, looked at daddy and resumed reading.
Mommy's happy that she got to finish her chores, daddy's happy with his uninterrupted nap, baby's contented doing some self reading. Everybody's happy!
