That Good Kind of Sore

Hey guys! How’s Thursday playing out so far??

Everything is pretty good here except for 3 main things….

1) a HUGE shipment of wood was supposed to arrive at our office from the artist in LA last night. And huge means over 20,000 linear feet!

This would have been fine because it was supposed to come last night and I had to leave work early to get to basketball (and do a workout) so I was going to doge the unloading 20,000 feet of pure bliss. But it DIDN’T COME! Gaaaaahhhhhhh. 20,000 feet of pure bliss on my agenda today.

2) My work computer no longer connects to the internet and after 2 days of trying to fix it we’ve come to the conclusion that it cannot be fixed and a new computer is in order. I’m double teaming at my desk until a new one appears.

3) Well because it’s Thursday which means it’s not Friday but Friday is so close I can taste it. Total torture.

Oats on the menu for breakfast!!!!! Oh- and of course awake tea.

In my oats:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • molasses
  • sugar
  • milled flax seeds
  • vanilla
  • salt
  • and sunflower seed butter

This batch turned out extra molasses-ey so it was super good. So good that I think I need to add extra molasses to my oats on a regular basis.:mrgreen:

My tea was just so-so because I actually ran out of soymilk and had to put almond milk in my tea. Almond milk is just not the same and it kinda separates in warm liquids so my tea was almost kinda crunchy and I think I’ll never do it again. But it was a good idea in theory.

good sore versus bad sore

Today I’m good sore. You know that bad-painful sore that leaves you waddling around like a penguin and saying “ow…ow…ow…ow” when trying to lift your mug to your face? Well I like that sore too. I just like feeling sore because I know I really worked my muscles and I’ll be stronger for it later. But this sore is so perfect. I know I did a GREAT workout last night but I’m not paying for it today.

On the sweating agenda today……. Cardio!!!! Either a run or a cardio DVD tonight.

(secretly… running really freaks me out since it makes my tummy hate me almost every single time I do it! I love running and I’m in constant conflict in my mind.)
