I sourced this Teeling Revival Volume IV 15 Years for a recent Irish Whiskey event the SoCal Whiskey Club did with Teeling. The evening was amazing, the whiskey was great and it was an SCWC event so of course the company was terrific. Ah you should have been there… unless you’re a SCWC member and you’re reading this now, in which case you were so you know what I’m talking about.
But for the rest of your that don’t know and are sitting there going “WTF dude, get on with the whiskey” to you I say “Ok”. EYE

NOSE
Honey, malt, peach, white grapes, pear, toffee, green apple and a bit of tropical fruit, spice, wax and floral notes.
PALATE
Honied peaches, pears, sweet malt, vanilla, honeycomb, banana, apricot, green apples, graham, wax and some spice and white grapes.
FINISH
Long -> malt, honey, waxy, fruity and spicy.
BALANCE, BODY & FEEL
Great sense of balance, waxy, fruity and spicy.
Teeling Revival Volume IV 15 Years Review – OVERALL
Bold rich and elegant the Teeling Revival Volume IV 15 Years reminds me of old (20+ years) Clynelish with its richly fruity and waxy delivery. There’s nothing subtle about it, but it carries hidden notes that slowly open and become more pronounced with a bit of air.
On both the palate and aroma the longer it sits the more fruit arrives and one minute it’s peaches and pears, the next it’s grapes and apricot then a dollop of malt arrives followed by apples drizzled with honey. This is an exceptional whiskey that’s a joy to drink and I’m excited for the next release to tickle my palate.
