I think I may be a strange sort of photographer. People hike mountains and sleep in snow caves for the perfect shot. But I have never had an urge to photograph the most beautiful of scenery. Because I know the picture will never be as perfect as the moment. My fav thing to photograph, is always the rough part of town. Or in this case, the old part of town. An area of Dunedin that would once have bustled, but is now quiet and stuck in time. Somehow frozen. The amazing part of photography, is you can shoot the less than beautiful, from your view, and make it something to admire. You can express beauty in the ordinary. And that is a special thing.
This weeks teach me something is a little lacking. I have been too busy with goodbyes to do my usual nightly trawling. But here are a few little gems I have stumbled across....
Feed Me: I need to eat this creamy caprice quinoa bake immediately.
Educate Me: Watching too much porn rewires the brain and can lead to erectile dysfunction. Check out this amazing video here.
Inspire Me: I have had many problems with putting boundaries in place in my life. I used to get so tired all the time. I was trying to do it all and then playing the victim when I would run out of energy. Unfortunately, we can't be everything to everyone. This article helped me to understand this.
Much love xx
