Chinese culture have been known for their amazing architectural designs and prominent choice of colors, which brings me to loving this place.
Taoist Temple is very accessible from the heart of the city. Its hidden inside a wealthy Beverly Hills subdivision. You can rent a Taxi from the city which would only play between 130-200 PHP. We did a different way, my boyfriend and I took a jeepney then rode a motorbike up to the gates of Beverly Hills Subd. and walked all the way to the Temple which only cost about 80 PHP for the both of us back and fourth the city. Yeah we traveled like locals. :D
Most parts of the temple are guarded to stop tourists from taking pictures as to pay respect to their gods and to the people who’s been talking with he gods.
You don’t need to be a Buddhist to enter and light up an incense, you just have to read a few pointers before you enter the room.
Main point of entering the sacred temple is to give thanks and ask for signs from the gods (which is relatively answered with a yes, no and maybe circular symbols that appear on a kidneys shaped wood).
There aren’t much tourists here at Taoist temple because there’s not much to do inside but to reflect and pray. But I guess if you like reading books, this is the best place to go there’s lots of spots here where you can just sit down and have all the time to yourself.
