Last weekend I finally popped into Cabinet, the gallery and shop space for Edinburgh Contemporary Crafts. I'd been meaning to pop by ever since they opened but I always seemed to walk past it on a Sunday or when I'm in a mad rush to catch my train. With a bit of time on my hands I went for a good old nose around. It's filled with contemporary design of all persuasions but of course I was drawn to the mighty fine selection of jewelry on display. Most of the pieces are from jewelers housed in the ECC's own studios and there's certainly a diverse selection of styles and materials.
I had a great time looking at all the talent on show and snapping some photos so I thought I'd share some of my favourites here.

As well as the gallery and shop Edinburgh Contemporary Crafts also offer a wide range of workshops and courses. The cover so many different crafts from bookbinding to pottery. The upholstery and introduction to enamel have caught my eye. If your in Edinburgh it's definitely worth popping into Cabinet and I certainly won't be waiting so long for my next visit.
