I found this tag whilst reading through a number of blogs. I’m sorry I’ve forgotten which one I found this off.
1. All my nails are different lengths and my right hand is always longer than the left
Why? Goodness only knows. You’d think being right-handed I would have more wear and tear on my right and my left is treated better. Alas, this is false in my case.
2. My lip balm addiction is out of control!
It’s true. I can’t walk into a pharmacy, department store or Priceline without walking out with a new lip balm. It’s so bad that even my mother knows of it and will pick some up for me when she sees it. Because of this, I do have a lot of doubles.
3. I am a creature of habit and will rarely stray from my staples
Again, very true. I will finish off a eyeshadow palette, lip balm, skincare product, nailpolish and hair product to the very last drop and will just keep repurchasing. I figure, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. There is no need to mess around with unknown products and take a chance of it not agreeing with you skin or hair.
4. I absolutely can not live without liquid eyeliner
It’s one of those products that I can’t leave the house without wearing and when I do, it’s never for long periods of time. It’s been a makeup staple of fifteen years now and I always feel polished when I’m wearing it. I could have 2-day unwashed hair and wearing my sweats, but if I’m wearing eyeliner, I feel powerful and done up.
5. I’m on a first name basis with my hairdressers, threadest/waxer and nail technician
I think it’s really important for women to be. Find someone who works well with you, knows what you like and run with it. Like I said in third point, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
6. I am guilty of not washing my brushes from time to time
I think it’s because I wear the same eye look all the time so it’s not like I dip my brushes in new colours everyday. Of course, I wash them, but not as often as I should. (I know, it’s gross.)
7. My favorite brand is Urban Decay
And of course, they’re products are so hard to come by in Australia. I find that most of their products are fail proof. They 24/7 Glide On Pencils are amazing. Their new lipsticks are great. They’re well-known for the highly pigmented buttery eyeshadows that are an absolute dream to apply. And their Primer Potions is one of the best eye bases I’ve ever used.
In terms of drugstore brand, you really can’t go wrong with Revlon.
8. If I had unlimited funds I’d spend it all on skincare
I spend a lot of my money on skincare rather than makeup. (I know, it’s so hard to believe.) But your skin is your largest organ and I know I have so many problems with mine, so I like to take good care of it when I can.
9. I will never consider having plastic surgery
Not unless I was horribly disfigured (which we all hope I never do!) I believe in aging gracefully, loving every new wrinkle and line. Although we can help slow down the aging process with serums and good quality skincare, let’s not deny the inevitable.
10. My motto is: Less is more
I love that motto and I try and live by it everyday. Although I use makeup everyday, I don’t actually wear a lot of it. I’m very lucky I don’t have too many problems with my skin that requires me wearing a lot of makeup to cover up, but I find the most flattering makeup on me is simple, with a bold lip.
