I appreciate the opportunity to review the following product courtesy of Swiffer. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
As a Mom of a busy & quite messy toddler, anything that can make my daily chores quicker, easier &/or more efficient is a product that I am willing to try. As a long time user of the Swiffer & BISSELL family of products, I was curious to see how effective the merging of the two lines would be.
I have always hated mopping the floors, so when all of the advances in steam mops came to be, I could not get to the store fast enough. As a new combination, the Swiffer BISSELL SteamBoost claims that by combining steam with dirt-dissolving mopping cloths to trap & lock dirt away, your floors will get a deeper clean than the standard mop & bucket can provide.
So did the Swiffer BISSELL SteamBoost fare well in the B household?
I received the Swiffer BISSELL SteamBoost Starter Kit {$59.95} & a 20 pack of the Open Window Fresh Scent steam mopping cloths {$9.99} to review.
Assembled in just a few minutes & we’re in business!
In action. Most of the moisture you see is from the steam.
I had a hard time capturing the steam action because I’m very amateur, but you can kind of see it illuminated by the blue light.

Results. I just mopped the floor the other day, so I’m thrilled the SteamBoost picked up the dirt that had accumulated in the last few days.
Here is my usual pros/cons/verdict list. 
Pros
- Safe to use on marble, stone, ceramic tile, vinyl, linoleum, finished wood & laminate flooring
- Eliminates the need for a mop & bucket
- Lightweight
- Small
- Great maneuverability
- Easy to assemble
- Easy to use
- Heats up in about 30 seconds
- You control the amount of steam released with a trigger
- Does not streak
- Does not leave a sticky film behind
- Open Window Fresh Scent is pleasant without being overwhelming in the fragrance department
- Steam Pads come in 2 available scents: Open Window Fresh Scent & Febreze Lavender Vanilla & Comfort Scent
- Cord is sufficient in length
Cons
- Price tag at $59.95
- Refill pads must be purchased which is another expense
Verdict
I feel that the Swiffer BISSELL SteamBoost did a fantastic job of cleaning my floors & I am very grateful for the opportunity to review a great Swiffer product!
