The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday issued the written orders to accept the high treason case against former President General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf for hearing.
The apex court ordered to place his name on the Exit Control List (ECL) and directed concerned authorities to ensure the former president didn’t leave the country.
Directorate General Immigration and Passport has issued a circular in this regard and the directives have been sent to all the exit points, including airports and seaports.
After the issuance of circular Pervez Musharraf, who is facing the allegations of toppling an elected government, suspending the constitution and sacking judges, can’t leave Pakistan.
