Today Disney and Marvel have confirmed which movie will be facing off against Superman/Batman movie on May 6th, 2016. That movie is Captain America 3! Disney had previously announced a Marvel movie would be debuting on that date, but did not confirm which one until today. They have also claimed the same weekend for 2017 so we will see what Marvel film will be coming then.
No details about the plot, but with Sebastian Stan being reportedly signed on with Marvel for a 9 picture deal, you can bet that the Winter Soldier will be involved somehow.
What do you think of this move? Great idea for Marvel or bad? I think it shows that they have total confidence in Captain America, especially with the second film having such a huge opening weekend.
