logo for The Sunday SalonGood morning!

Time: // 8:56 am.

The scene: // Snapped back to cold and rainy after several days in a row that were nice enough to walk without a jacket.

Listening to: // My Cheering up playlist including “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head:”

I just did me some talking to the sun and I said I didn’t like the way he got things done – sleeping on the job!

Cress by Marissa Meyer

The Rapunzel story retold as a far-future adventure with conflict between Earthens and Lunars.

Reading: // My diversity book club had a terrific discussion about Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. My book review will be posted this afternoon.

I’m nearly finished with Cress by Marissa Meyer on my phone – I’ve really enjoyed that continuation of the Cinder and Scarlet series. Last night I started The Murders of Richard III, the second in the Jacqueline Kirby suspense novel series by Elizabeth Peters. That author is more well-known for her Amelia Peabody series, but I’m enjoying this one about a librarian sleuth. I’m still taking my break from the big books I was reading. I think I’ll get back to Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson today – something about a rainy day seems to suit a big book.

Blogging about: // Cabbage salad. Cabbage is cheap and plentiful around St. Patrick’s Day. Grab a head and try a cabbage salad with these tips for cutting, softening, and dressing cabbage salads.

Participating in// I’m looking forward to Bloggiesta, starting on a Thursday this month – the 27th. I guess I should write a sign-up post for that.

What are you up to this fine Sunday?
