Hope you've all been enjoying the sunshine! We've been out everyday so far, whether its into town or just in the paddling pool in the back garden! It's been too hot to go anywhere in the car, the seatbelts are scorching! As I said in my previous post, I like hot weather but there comes a point when enough is enough...I don't think we've ever sweat so much as a family before, poor Abbie has had sweat beads on her forehead and nose everyday, keeping her cool is becoming a challenge! We have a fan which helps get her to sleep and we bring it downstairs into the living room in the daytime, whilst all the windows in the house are open, including the back door! It reached 35*C on the 13th! That's pretty normal for some countries but not for us! Ha. We went to lunch at my stepdad's, who cooked us chicken breast, wrapped in bacon, with salad, potatoes and sweet & sour style peppers! Too scrummy! Abbie sat in her high chair with her melon, it keeps her hydrated as she has no interested in drinking from her cup, just chews it...hmmmm
I saw one of my best friends on Sunday too, we haven't actually seen each other since Abbie was around 6/7 weeks old, so we had a lovely catch up..you all know what it's like when you have a baby, some people you stay in contact with and others just fade, it's sad sometimes but I guess it's just what happens! We are going to make it a regular thing now, will be nice to have some girls time! :). Oh and Abbie made a friend with a little girl, she waved and said "hi" a few times, far too cute!
It was my birthday yesterday! Yay! We had a lovely day taking pictures, having fun in the sun, eating dominos for dinner and had a few friends pop over for a while too! Ben & Abbie bought me some beautiful flowers which you can see below, I love them! Birthdays actually mean more now I'm older, you get things you need rather than just things you want, I was bought a brand new tripod, remote for my camera (finally we can get a proper family picture now!) and a lens cleaner laser pen thing, I love gadgets and anything to do with cameras so I'm in love! Ha. We're going to a poppy field later to take more photos, some photography ones mainly a probably a couple of Abbie too!
Hope you all have a fab week! This weeks posts include 10 Fun activities for kids, eBay & Charity shop haul, DIY storage boxes & how to turn an old dress into a flowy summery top! :)
Enjoy the pictures! There are lots!
