A few weeks ago I was very kindly invited to the summer dine with Highcross Leicester event with a few other local bloggers. It was great to see a few familiar faces and I am pretty sure all of us had a lovely time as well! Being the foodie I'am, I couldn't say no and hence I was so excited. It was a great food filled evening at Highcross who were celebrating the launch of the brand new PLUSapp which a free app filled with lots of exclusive discounts.
We first headed off to Bill's restaurant for some delicious starters where I met up with Gabby who organised the event for us and the rest of the bloggers. I love the atmosphere in Bill's. I've been their for their breakfast before which is a really lovely treat. It's so laid back and relaxing and the staff members are so lovely. The starters were a mixture so there was something for everyone as I opted for a vegetarian option. Ps- You need to try their humous. The best. I also loved their take on cheese on toast and their bread. So good! You have to try it if you haven't already.Image - Bill (website)Afterwards we headed off to Handmade burger co for the mains which was my first time there and it was worth it as I would deffo be going back soon. Again I opted for a vegetarian option and usually most places make the vegetarian options really boring but this place had a good range and I actually found it difficult to pick one. I went for the Italian mushroom stack with extra cheese and sweet potato fries with rosemary salt (it made all the difference) which was probably the best vegetarian burger I've had no joke. You have to try the fries as well *insert heart face emoji*.Oh and their peanut butter and banana milkshake was just the perfect drink. I am actually not exaggerating but if you haven't been here yet you HAVE to go because it's delicious. Also I have to say their staff and the service was perfect. Everyone is so lovely and polite and really helpful as well. They explained everything to us as well as telling us the menu faves.
We were suppose to head off to Patisserie Valerie for dessert but we were running a little late so we were unable to make it but everyone got to try dessert at Handmade burger co instead which I am sure everyone enjoyed. Overall I really loved it. It was so great to see Sophia, Emma, Stephanie and Nancy. I loved talking to all the bloggers and it was the perfect size for a mini event. Thankyou to Gabby for inviting us all! If you haven't been to Highcross Leicester yet, then what are you waiting for! So many great places to dine and shop. It's a win win.
Also sorry about the image quality. Still looking for a new camera which is proving to be hard!Hareem x
