Well, we've done it again. What seemed like an insurmountable task yesterday now looks like a piece of cake. We passed our scruitineering test with flying colours. There were tests and checks against our brakes, lights, safety systems, and driver entry and exit among others. I still can't believe we pulled it all together. All that is left now is to do our braking test and car stability test tomorrow and we will be issued our official Australian license plate.
As for the progress of the car - we are getting the tail section rebuilt slowly but surely. It's not going to be as pretty as the original tail, but it should work none the less. After our testing tomorrow we will have some results of the stability and integrity of the new tail section. We can then go ahead and attach the remaining solar panels and bring the array back up to about 6 square meters. That crash saw a loss of about 12.5% of our array - a critical amount.
