Hello everyone! So, this weeks Subscription Sunday is on Netflix. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past few years, Netflix is a TV streaming website where you can watch season after season of programmes...I'm pretty sure this is why I get easily addicted to programmes and fangirl on them for months.
Netflix costs £5.99 a month, which is quite a bit, however you do get a free months subscription. My plan is to keep it over the summer and when it comes back to school, I should probably get rid for the pure reason it will distract me too much! My Top 5 Netflix Shows
1. Gossip GirlGossip Girl is my current 'obsessive watching every episode ever' show. I watched the first season in 2 days! I love this show; It's about the lives of these priviliaged teenagers and their lives. It's really good and I can't wait to get through all 6 seasons!
2. TorchwoodTorchwood is a spin off show from the classic Doctor Who and follows the exploits of a small team of alien-hunters, who make up the Cardiff, Wales branch of the fictional Torchwood Institute, which deals mainly with incidents involving extraterrestrials. It is centralised around Captain Jack who was in the main show Doctor Who in 2005. I've obsessed over this show so much...I will never be over Ianto! (seriously, ask my friends and they will tell you I constantly go on about it)
3. LostI'm still working my way through all these episodes however it is really good! It follows the survivors of the crash of a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney and LA, on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. Never watch this show before you're about to go on a plane...trust me!
4. 90210Another programme I'm obsessed with...I can't belive it's the last season! It's quite like Gossip Girl however instead of being on the New Yorkers, it's on the Beverly Hills teens and about their very....adventurous lifestyles.
5. The Vampire DiariesThe series takes place in Mystic Falls, Virginia, a fictional small town haunted by supernatural beings. The main focus of the series is the love triangle between the Elena and vampire-brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore. It's very cool and is based on the books by LJ Smith (sorry, but I hate those books! I tried reading them a few years back and god they're awful)
So there you have it! I really recommend getting Netflix, even if it's just for the free trail because it's so good! They also have some fantastic films like Iron Man 2, Pirates of the Caribbean, Magic Mike and The Last Song. I'm going to do another post soon on Netflix Vs LoveFilm so stay tuned for that!
