It is Tuesday, and I am excited for the weekend that is now one day closer - woot woot !
It was an Indian festival of brothers and sisters yesterday, and just like any other Indian festival, I was home away from home. I did miss everyone, but I was wondering if people back home celebrated festivals with the same zeal, as we did when I was a kid ??? Will I be able to partake the festivities with the same feeling and sentimental values, coz all my cousins have grown up, have family and responsibilities and all the worldly issues ?? Not sure if things will ever be the same ?
My mom leaves for India this Thursday, which means the party is over for me. I have had family for almost three months now, and it has been a bliss. Wonder how long will it take me to get back to the normal cooking, cleaning, dish-washing, baby-sitting routine............once again ????
Every time I take a digital break, aka less time on phone and laptop, going back to doing the normal intimidates me. So much needs catching up, that I feel like a dummy and end my asking myself - "is taking such a break worth it, when I feel more stressed after the break ." ??
How would things be if I was in India instead of US ?? Would I still be the independent property manager/blogger, or would I be one of those hoity-toity moms, who have a kid, a nanny and lots of kitty parties in tow? Or, would I be the typical Indian housewife, who is wedded to the kitchen first and then to her husband??? I think...........we should just change the topic...........
What are some of your random thoughts ???
