Style Swap Tuesdays- Showing Some Saree Love

As much as I love wearing western clothing, there is no denying of my love for traditional Indian attire. But truth be told: neither do I have a lot of Indian clothing here in US nor do I have the knowledge of the latest fashion trends in India. My last resort is either my mom, who keeps me up to date or the Indian celebrities, who are the idealistic source of runway to realway fashion.
Today's look is inspired by this one, but with my own personal spin. My mom, who is visiting us here in US, brought me the saree, but the coordinating blouse- the seamstress messed it up!!! I didn't want that to dampen my excitement of wearing this sari whatsoever, so I decided to wear it with one of my own India-inspired eyelet blouses, and I think it worked. Would you agree ???
To give this look my personal signature touch, came in that statement necklace and that black bindi too.....
