There are several trends from 2017 that are contenders for this year trend's list, but the top five, rather my five favorite trends that are here to stay are :
1) PLAID OUTERWEAR- this trend was huge fall/winter 2017 and I am glad it is still going strong, especially plaid blazers. There is something so preppy about a plaid blazer, that every fashion-savvy girl was seen rocking this trend, and the street style galore is a live example of it's popularity.
2) BERETS- beret o beret o beret.......why are you so charming !!! Needless to say, this Parisian-chic accessory is the best one could have. Not only does it transform any look, it saves you on the bad hair days.
3) POMPOUS BOOTIES- while white booties were the winner of street-style awards, studded sparkly over-the-top booties won the runners-up place. I have been going bonkers over sparkly booties and you have to stay tuned to see whats rolling into my shoe closet soon....hint : it has sequins and lace...
4) DARK DENIMS- talk to me about this trend and I can write pages after pages on this one. Jeans are a girl's best friend ( only after diamonds ) and there is nothing better than this to show off your toned gams and back. Denims witnessed a major transformation past year but the classic dark indigo blue denim is just what hit the bulls eye....again !
5) MELLOW YELLOW - you might be surprised just how seamlessly a yellow colored garment works on everyone. This is one shade that I must say suits every skin color. With shades like ochre, canary, mustard and many more, there is a shade for every one. So drop all inhibitions and give this color a try, you wont be disappointed.
