Style Swap Tuesdays - Everyday i Am Ruffling

Can't believe it's been twelve glorious years since I moved to the United States. It has been an awesome life and learning experience home-away-from-home. I know this place so well now, I have seen it all: from Bush to Obama to Trunk government and witnessed all: from all the highs to the lows, I now call this place my second HOME. So when Washingtonian Magazine asked me to partake their " I AM NOT A TOURIST I LIVE HERE " T-shirt campaign, I had to leap at the opportunity.
The T-shirt is an ode to their 1976 cover design that featured the same vintage tee. A handful of local bloggers styled this t-shirt and this look was my take. The campaign is still in progress and all the looks are yet to be turned in, so stay tuned for a full campaign link coming up your way soon.
Anyways, gingham has had a major comeback this season. I had seen dresses but when I spotted this skirt in the store, I had to buy it. The length is perfect and the ruffle hem makes it so fun and flirty. In case you decide to buy it, I would suggest sizing down, the skirt is really forgiving around the waist and hips. The shooties are a new addition to my arsenal. The sporty heel trend is another trend that will be huge this season. My closet is ready for this trend, is yours ??
