I hope you are all doing great and had a great Holi/St.Patricks Day celebration.Well summers have begun and I hate summers because it is the worst time for my skin - redness, open pores and a greasy face but there is nothing much that can be done. All you need to is take extra care of the skin like washing your face with a good cleanser one that works best for you, scrubbing/exfoliating and yes sunscreen. Today I shall be reviewing a face wash called Streax Purifying Facial Wash. I never knew Streax made face washes until I got this along with the hair color kit I used to color my hair. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my picture there. Anyhow let us see in my review how good it is...
Ingredients:
Aqua, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Glycerin,Cocoamidopropyl Betaine,Neem Extract (Azadirachta Indica), Aloe Vera Extract, (Aloe Vera Barbadensis), Polyethylene Granules, Acrylates/C- 10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium hydroxide, Polysorbate - 20, Fragrance, Methylchloroisothiazollinone, Phenoxy Ethanol, Polyquaternium - 8, Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid, Colour (C.I no.19140)Price: Rs.45/- for 50ml
The face wash comes in a green and white packaging which is opaque and not transparent. Since it is opaque its hard to tell how much face wash is in the tube. As a kid I always like things which are transparent like stationery, water bottle.. Lol.. and the same is with a face wash in this case. The packaging looks very appealing. It is a squeeze tube with a screw cap which is not my personal favorite to be honest. It does not leak and can be easily carried while traveling. All the information along with ingredients is mentioned at the back of the tube. Overall decent packaging.
When I used this face wash for the first time I did realize it is almost the same formula as the Himalaya one.It is a bit runny though. The face wash is being promoted as a face wash and a scrub which is true. It does contain micro granular particles or rather small green beads which act as as a scrub or an exfoliant. It cleanses the face well and does not dry it particularly. Yes it does rejuvenate the skin but to be honest I get the same feeling from any other face wash nothing exceptional. It contains Aloe Vera plus Neem Extracts. While Aloe Vera is a good moisturizer Neem acts as an anti bacterial property. This face wash is good for those for oily to combination skin. My skin has already started getting oily hence I have been using this now. It did not break me out or cause any break outs. Hence I would say it is decent enough.
The Good:
Goodness of scrub and face wash 2 in 1.Exfoliates gently.
Does a good job of cleansing the skin without drying it.
Decent packaging with ingredients mentioned.
The not so Good:
The formula is a bit runny.
The beads are very fine and do not exfoliate that well.
This product has not been advertised yet I am not sure if its available.
Rating:3/5
I would prefer the Himalaya Neem Face wash over this one as there is nothing exceptional about this one really. It does a good job of cleansing but is quite average. Hence I would not really recommend it.
I hope my review was helpful to all those reading. Please leave a comment below also let me know if you have heard of this face wash before.
See you all in my next review. Until then Cya.. ☻
