Noah
is finally drinking from a straw. Go little man! He took to it
immediately when the OT gave it to him last week. So, now he's doing
it without my help in holding it. He's getting there...slowly. Please disregard the clothes. It was laundry day yesterday.
I
haven't heard from the doc's to test Noah for Lowe and me to see if I
carry the gene. Heard last week that the “special kit” is in but
they are waiting for something else from Baylor in downtown Houston,
so why it's taking so long to get the call to come in for the test, I
just don't know. I guess, as I've experienced over and over, they
don't consider this a priority, so we wait. If I don't hear anything
by lunch tomorrow, I'll call in the afternoon and find out if there
is any way mama can push things along. :) I've had to do it before
regarding Noah, and I'll continue as needed. My son's medical care
is my number #1 priority. Period.
Spent
some time with Bella after we got home from school. I'm trying to
make that a priority as well. She never complains about all the
attention we give Noah, however, she is right there when help with
him is needed, which is sweet. I painted her nails and toenails a
funky blue with glitter. I'll bet that will be the talk of the day
for her at school tomorrow. I can already see it. She's just too
cute. I did get a huge hug after I finished so score a point for
mom! I do wonder sometimes what goes through her head about Noah and
the attention we have to give him and all the doctor's appointments,
etc. She seems to take it all in stride and can't imagine not giving
Noah a kiss goodnight when it's time for her to go bed every night.
She did ask me once when she saw another little boy about Noah's age
when he would walk and talk like that boy did. All I could say was
that I didn't know. When Noah is ready, he'll surprise us all and
just do it all at once! Isabella's such a sweet and goodhearted
little girl. I'm so proud and honored to call her mine!
I
am busy getting Isabella's belated birthday party together and what
to include because she's testing out my “Tea and Etiquette with Ms.
Goodilia Manners” party idea. I have six RSVP's so far and what
has amazed me most about delaying her party is she hasn't said much
about it really. From time to time she's asked if it's getting
closer but no whining about when's it going to be or how she wants to
open presents. The only things she has mentioned--she is so excited
about is having all of her friends over at the same time and that her
daddy will be home to help celebrate her 4 birthday.
That makes me extremely proud of my little girl. She's already
understanding what it means to think about the things that really
matter. I just pray it always continues that way!!
Oh,
woe is us...There are going to be some hard decisions to make in the
next month or two. As a family, we have to do what is best for Noah.
I don't know what that means but with my handsome hubby coming home,
we will be having some serious discussions about what we need to do
with our future in regards to Noah. I'm actually kind of excited in
a way. I'm ready for something new. Whatever that means and
wherever God wants to lead us, well then, lead on!
Please
keep us in our prayers, so we make the right decisions for us. I
appreciate that more than anything else. Always!!
As
always, keep yourself in the moment, Jenna
