How To Make a Strawberry Gin 'Fizz.' Cocktail
Hi Blogapaloozers, my name's Frank G. This is my third post in the contest. This go 'round, I'm tying down the urge to talk about my self, and instead provide something tangible. Something you can use this Summer for your pool party or barbecue.
I put together a cocktail recipe that's easy and straightforward. A snap to make, and well worth the effort. It's a twist on the classic gin fizz. Enjoy it. Cheers!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz of gin
- 2 oz of fresh lemon sour (1 part simple syrup and 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice.)
- 2-3 Strawberries, roughly diced
- 1 tsp of egg white
- 3/4 oz of Belgian strawberry Lambic style beer.
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker
- Muddler
- Hand-held mesh strainer (optional, if seeds and small chunks of strawberry don't bother you then you don't have to fool with double straining it.)
- Ice
3. Pour ingredients into the shaker tin, and attach mixing glass securely to the tin, then shake vigorously with two hands until you feel a strong chill.
4. Double strain into a 6-8 oz glass, or a 'fizz' glass if you have one.
5. Top with strawberry beer.
Serve and enjoy.
I'm hoping you will enjoy this recipe and have an excellent Summer. Thanks for reading. Cheers!
