Strategic Account Manager

I am an experienced Strategic Account Manager with a demonstrated history of working within the financial services industry. I am skilled in Customer Relationship Management, Project Management, and Account Management. I am a strong professional with a MSc. focused in Finance and Management from Keele University.

My years of work and consultancy experience have led me to specialize increasingly in project and account management. I have been involved in numerous local and international projects and this has enabled me to effectively communicate and work within multi-cultural environments. I have good leadership and supervisory skills gained through years of coordinating various projects and teams and consistently achieving project goals and deadlines.

EMPLOYMENT
2019 Strategic Account Manager (Direct Pay Online Limited, Kenya)
I was tasked with managing relationships with the company's strategic merchants:

1. Account Management:
o Managing and developing strategic account relationships with key merchants across the continent.
o To prepare and manage a systematic strategic accounts tracker and report to the Executive Management team.
o Attend and participate in the DPO Group Strategic Accounts Forum

2. Project Management:
o Translating the 'deal' into reality and pull together multiple facets of a project and diverse teams to achieve a holistic approach to on-boarding mega merchants.
o Participating in the sales process, bridging the relationship between technology, sales and operations.

2013 - 2018 Project Manager (eCard Solutions Limited, Tanzania)
I was involved in the successful implementation of MasterCard, Visa and Union Pay International issuing and acquiring projects for banks within East, Central and Southern Africa.

I managed all aspects of project implementation that included:
1. Project management:
o Led the planning of projects by facilitating the definition of project scope and deliverables.
o Developed project plans and monitoring tasks assigned.
o Kept records of all project documents.

2. Account management:
o Managed multiple bank projects worth approximately US$ 1,400,000.
o Handled clients in Tanzania (NMB, Exim, NBC, FBME); Kenya (Spire Bank); Zimbabwe (Steward Bank); Namibia (EBank/ FNB); Congo (Stanbic Bank); Bahrain (Tadhamon International Islamic Bank).
o Prepared and presented weekly project status reports to both management and clients.
o Stakeholder and vendor management and communication.

3. Team management:
o Defined project resource requirements.
o Managed a team of 7 technical implementation specialists within Tanzania, a team of 3 specialists working remotely in Morocco and 1 specialist in India.

2009 - 2013 Project Officer (Spire Bank, Kenya)
I was tasked with ensuring that various projects were implemented in line with the Bank's strategy. These included:
1. Implementation of a card management system:
o Project worth approximately US$ 90,000.
o Developed project plans and managing deliverables within set timelines.
o Prepared and presented weekly status reports at management meetings.
o Vendor management and communication.

2. Merger with Southern Credit Bank
o Following a successful merger with Southern Credit Bank in 2011, I assisted in harmonizing bank products, tariff guide and the product codes.

3. Trust Secretary (Bank Staff Provident Fund)
o Kept records of the income, expenditure and assets of the scheme.
o Ensured accounts are prepared and submitted to the Retirements Benefits Authority.
o Prepared the agenda and background papers for the Board of Trustee meetings.
o Took meeting minutes and followed up on action points raised from the meetings.

2008 - 2009 Project Coordinator & Research Associate (M.A. Consulting Group, Kenya)
I was involved in the following projects:

1. Preparation of a Concept Paper for the Establishment of an Agricultural Development Fund
(Client: Agricultural Sector Coordination Unit)2009
o Project worth approximately Kshs. 8,000,000
o Prepared the technical proposal to undertake the study;
o Arranged interviews with Permanent Secretaries and other relevant stakeholders; and
o Ensured timely delivery of reports.

2. Review and Update of Port Master Plan for the Port of Mombasa
(Client: Kenya Port Authority)2008 - 2009
o Project worth approximately US$151,779
o Assisted in preparing the numerous reports and presentations for this assignment;
o Coordinated team movement both in Mombasa and Nairobi;
o Arranged interviews for the consulting team with the numerous Port stakeholders; and
o Compiled necessary documents for the team.

3. Impact Assessment of the PSNP Public Works Program
(Client: World Bank and the Government of Ethiopia)2008
o Project worth approximately US$ 429,326
o Prepared the technical proposal to undertake the study;
o Coordinated all movement of the consulting teams in four major regions of Ethiopia i.e. Amhara; Oromiya; Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR) and Tigray;
o Ensured timely delivery of reports submitted to the World Bank; and
o Managed finances throughout the project.

4. Technical Assistance for the IGAD Secretariat in the Identification and Feasibility Study for a Strategic, Integrated Support Programme
(Client: Intergovernmental Authority on Development, IGAD)2008
o Project worth approximately US$ 50,000
o Prepared the technical proposal to undertake the study;
o Assisted in the production and timely delivery of reports; and
o Conducted research and compiled necessary documents for the consulting team.

2006 - 2008 Legal Research Assistant (Ameyo, Guto& Co Advocates, Kenya)

I was involved in the consultancy Study on the Establishment of the East African Community Common Market (Client: East African Community Secretariat)
o Project worth approximately US$ 102,578
o Researched on various legal aspects of the study whose objective was to produce a model EAC Common Market Protocol that would form the basis for negotiating the Common Market and draw up a Program of Action that is currently guiding the negotiations.

2006 Administration Officer (Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court, London, UK)

o Prepared and delivered court registers and files to the judges and court clerks;
o Provided administrative support in courtrooms;

o Prepared court files for daily hearings;
o Handled general inquires;

o Data entry of address information to ensure mail is delivered accurately and on time;
o Manually sorted out address issues that the computer could not process automatically.
