As a member of influential electronic group Emeralds, Steve Hauschildt has crafted his skills as an electronic producer for a number of years. On September 16th, Editions Mego is releasing a collection of 32 of his home-recorded tracks—from bouncy chillwave to static drone. The electronic musician and Cleveland native mixes digital noise with analog pads on “Enter Return” sounding a bit like a happy Boards of Canada without their enigmatic air. The wistful chords produce a kind of contemplative elegance, putting one into a trance until finally giving way to a new age sounding coda.
