“The distance is nothing; it is only the first step that is difficult.” ~Marie de Vichy-Chamrond, Marquise du Deffand, letter to Jean Le Rond d’Alembert, 7 July 1763
The first step – what is that for you?
Is it the call to the prospect? Is it the follow up on the lead you got? Is it the writing out of the plan?
When you are faced with the large, looming first step remember that even a small movement in the right direction is progress – so lift your foot, the phone, the pen and begin – once you’re into the movement the rest will come.
Friday Funny
While living in Denver the weatherman said, “Expect 10 to 12 inches of snow tonight so park on the right side of the road so we can plow the left side.”
Willie’s wife ran out and parked on the right side.
The next week the forecast called for another 10 to 12 inches of snow, but this time he said “Park on the left side of the road so we can plow the right side.”
So Willie’s wife ran out and parked the car on the left side of the road.
The following week he said “16 inches of snow expected park….”, the lights went out and all the power was lost.
Willie’s wife said, “My goodness, now I don’t know where to park the car.”
Willie said, “Why don’t you just leave it in the garage!”
You create your day by the way you think – Make it magnificent!
