Beef steaks are very popular all over the world. It is a widely loved red meat dish that food lovers relish. Steaks can be eaten in many forms. It can be grilled or barbequed and served with some potato mash and veggies with a pepper or mushroom sauce or the steak can be cut up and curried or incorporated in many ways in different kinds of dishes infusing different flavors. One such dish is a Steak Brunchallta. To make this dish you require:
- ½ cup of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of lime juice
- ¼ of a cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
- ¾ of a cup of fresh tomatoes, chopped
- ½ a cup of red onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 24 ounces of beef top sirloin steak
- 1 and a ½ cups of green bell peppers, sliced
- 1 and a ½ cups of fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 clove of crushed garlic
- 5 beaten eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ of a teaspoon of hot pepper sauce and
- 4, 10 inch, flour tortillas
To prepare this delicious dish first, combine the Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, olive oil, red onions, cilantro, tomatoes, salt and pepper in a medium sized bowl. Then put the steak in a non-metallic container, cover with this marinade and refrigerate for an hour. Then, grill the steak on a grill or pre-heated broiler for four minutes on one side and one minute on the other. Remove the steak from the heat and cut into small pieces and keep aside. In a skillet, that has been lightly oiled or greased, cook the eggs and scramble them as per the firmness you require and season with salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Then, in a medium sauce pan, pour the marinade and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Add the green bell peppers, garlic and mushrooms and simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes. Lastly, warm the tortillas on a grill or oven, and line it the meat and vegetables, top it with the eggs and wrap it. Your Steak Brunchallta is ready to serve.
